About the Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts that work best for you. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. You will be responsible for ensuring product is in stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor, providing exceptional guest service, and anticipating guest needs.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction.
Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock.
Assist with truck unload process and stock product to the sales floor.
Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure signing is set accurately.
Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
Support execution of major transitions.
Maintain interior and exterior brand standards, including cleanliness and cart management.
Accurately execute all fills, including guest requests and backstock product.
Process all inbound deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy.
Complete all backroom weekly audits.
Operate power equipment if certified.
Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy.
Follow processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress, and prioritize tasks.
Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
Work in a safe manner at all times and report hazards.
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU).
Maintain a compliance culture while executing duties, including adult beverage laws.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
Must respond to attempts to contact you to confirm interest in working shifts.
Must work at least one shift every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours).
Must work at least one shift within 5 months or employment will be terminated.
Must attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule.
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
Ability to work both independently and with a team.
Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
Ability to climb up and down ladders as needed.
Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
Ability to work in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
