About the Role

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you will have the opportunity to create your own personalized work schedule by picking up shifts that best suit your availability. This role is ideal for those seeking flexibility while contributing to a positive guest experience in our small format stores.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, make eye contact, and initiate helpful interactions.
• Assist guests in finding products and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers with a positive attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
• Help guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
• Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and stocked.
• Assist with truck unloading and stocking products.
• Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
• Conduct weekly price changes and ensure signing is set accurately.
• Complete scans and system audits for inventory accuracy.
• Support the execution of major transitions.
• Maintain interior and exterior brand standards, including cleanliness and cart management.
• Accurately execute all fills, including floor fills, liability fills, guest requests, and backstock product.
• Process inbound deliveries using the receive application for inventory accuracy.
• Complete all backroom weekly audits.
• Operate power equipment if certified.
• Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy.
• Follow processes accurately with attention to detail and prioritize tasks.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-up (DU).
• Maintain compliance with adult beverage laws when executing guest services.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
• Must pick up and work shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours).
• Must respond to attempts to contact to confirm interest in working shifts.
• Must work at least one shift within 5 months or employment will be terminated.
• Must attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
• Ability to frequently lift or move merchandise up to 15 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move merchandise and fixtures up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexibility in picking up shifts (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
• Ability to work in and be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
