About the Role
Bilingual Equipment Operators are responsible for safely and effectively operating heavy equipment to load, offload or transport landscape supplies. The role requires maintaining situational awareness and proficiency to minimize risk of injury or property damage.
Responsibilities
- Operate assigned equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, grinders, and excavators safely and proficiently.
- Clean and maintain equipment as scheduled or required.
- Advise branch leadership of any equipment maintenance or repair needs.
- Assist with other duties assigned by management, including receiving materials, inventory, order processing/fulfillment, and general labor tasks.
Requirements
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds or more.
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to read and write to record daily logs and maintain daily equipment checklists.
Skills
- Tub Grinder experience
- Experience operating equipment such as front-end loaders, skid steers, track loaders, articulating loaders, rubber tire wheel loaders, and/or excavators
- Knowledge of proper safety and maintenance protocols of heavy equipment
- Bilingual Proficiency (English/Spanish)
- Experience in the landscape, hardscape, forestry, nursery, or irrigation industry is a plus
