About the Role
Grider Support Services, LLC, a partner of ECMC, seeks an experienced Physician Assistant for its outpatient Rheumatology team. This role involves patient assessment, care management, and collaboration within a fast-paced, patient-focused ambulatory care setting, offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a commitment to work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough history and physical exams for patients in an outpatient setting, applying critical thinking to assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending therapies based on current clinical guidelines and patient-specific factors.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed, integrating results into clinical decision-making and care plans.
- Deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care by providing education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and chronic disease management.
- Coordinate and manage follow-up care, respond to patient concerns between visits, and facilitate timely referrals to specialists or community resources to support comprehensive care.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient visits, care plans, and clinical outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care across the patient’s healthcare journey.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinic protocols that enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and health outcomes.
- Promote wellness and disease prevention strategies tailored to the needs and circumstances of each patient across the lifespan.
- Maintain ongoing professional development by engaging in continuing education and staying current with evidence-based practice and clinical advancements.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State of New York
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, required within 90 days of service
- 1-2 years experience in outpatient setting, preferred

Salary/Compensations
- $130,000 to $155,000
