About the Role
As an Interaction Designer at Google, you will transform complex tasks into intuitive, easy-to-use experiences for billions of people. You will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading products. This role involves crafting user-centered design methods from concept to execution, evolving the Google design language, and building beautiful, innovative products. Specifically for Shopping, you will lead the team responsible for building a personal shopper, guiding the design outlook and strategy for cohesive shopping experiences across Google’s core products. You will operate as both an Individual Contributor (75%) and a manager (25%) of a small team, focusing primarily on IC work.
Responsibilities
- Influence stakeholders across organizations to gain support for design strategies.
- Lead the development of innovative design solutions to user, product, and business problems.
- Own a holistic design process, design system, or design language across teams or products.
- Own improvements in design based on UX testing and stakeholder input and provide guidance and expertise to effectively engage stakeholders on product design to achieve product goals.
- Own project priorities, including finding and aligning resources effectively to help with the design project work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product design or UX.
- 5 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams.
- 3 years of work experience working with executive leaders.
- Experience working on e-commerce platforms/products.

Salary/Compensations
- US: $236000 - $329000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
