About the Role

As a Senior Associate within the Structured Products and Exchange Products Middle Office team, you will play a pivotal role in the seamless execution of trade activities, from order entry to settlement. Your expertise in market products and understanding of automation technologies will be instrumental in optimizing our trading services. You will leverage your proficiency in change management and continuous improvement to enhance the efficiency and resilience of our operating platform. Your role will also allow you to develop relationships with internal stakeholders, present insights to senior management, and drive process improvements. Your decisions will impact short-term team and department goals, and you will often guide others in their work activities, contributing to the overall success of our trading services.

Responsibilities

Support the Equity Derivative Structured Products Desks in EMEA, covering both sales and trading for the exotic business lines.
Facilitate trade bookings, queries on various structured trades, validate the economic integrity of trades, ensure settlement, and complete client set-up.
Action all secondary buybacks formalities and facilitate pricing using tools like Bloomberg, Telekrus, and Reuters.
Prepare calculations on structured trades (cross asset class) for expiries, coupons, and physical pay-offs.
Draft fixing notices for custodians using term sheets, confirmations, and Excel models pulling data from Bloomberg and other sources.
Book Structured Products into various front office systems, including ETPs, range accruals, accumulators, auto-callable, callable notes, FX notes, and other exotic structures.
Work with sales and trading to build the ETP business, onboard new trades, automate flows, and enhance marketing material to cover the JPM new product range.
Undertake projects to reduce manual labor, increase controls, and mitigate input errors.
Identify, implement, and support efforts to drive down manual work per trade.
Collaborate with other JPM teams to reduce costs within the middle office by leveraging low-cost centers.
Drive the future state of the Structured Products business by improving daily processes to cut down on manual tasks, reduce risks, and increase controls.
Assist in all new business activities.

Requirements

Excellent product knowledge on a range of Structured Products under various asset classes (Equity Derivatives, FX, Commodities etc).
Understanding of the booking flows of structured products from FO risk systems to full product lifecycle management (coupons, knockouts, corporate actions) to settlement (from JPM to custodians to clearers).
Excellent attention to detail.
Control mindset.
Time Management, ability to prioritize effectively, and work under pressure in an ever-changing and evolving environment without compromising quality.
Team player capable of building effective business relationships across the organization.
Understanding of different teams' functions within the bank and ensuring correct teams are engaged and utilized throughout the life of a trade.
Pro-active approach to problem solving, including root cause analysis, identifying solutions, and taking ownership to resolution.
Early start times and late finishing times may be required, depending on business needs.
