About the Role

MATTE is seeking a Senior Experiential Producer to lead high-end experiential production for clients, requiring strong creative and technical production capabilities to manage technical partners and ensure feasibility throughout the project lifecycle. This role reports to the Director of Experiential and contributes to managing the production team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead experiential production from kickoff through delivery and wrap.
  • Manage creative and technical experiential production, including building production plans and schedules, shepherding creative direction, overseeing junior production team members, and sourcing/managing vendors and partners.
  • Collaborate with technical vendors, fabrication partners, and AV teams to ensure technical feasibility.
  • Review and provide feedback on technical documents like renderings and gear lists.
  • Oversee on-site installation, testing, and load-in, troubleshooting with vendors.
  • Develop and execute project scopes, timelines, budgets, and staffing plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, permits, and licenses.
  • Represent MATTE’s experiential production expertise, ensuring high-quality execution while maintaining feasibility and timelines.
  • Monitor out-of-scope requests and initiate additional estimates and approvals.
  • Source vendors and contractors for fabrication, scenic, AV, lighting, and specialty tech.
  • Build, manage, and wrap project budgets, maximizing profitability.
  • Supervise staff, reviewing and troubleshooting potential issues impacting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Client Services, Creative, Strategy, and Operations.
  • Work within brand guidelines, bringing projects from concept to production with consistency and technical accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in experiential marketing production, including event management and production.
  • Track record of managing a team, with experience managing employees with different working styles.
  • Ability to think fast, problem solve, present solutions, and react positively to unexpected issues.
  • Approachable, collaborative, results-oriented, problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to both provide and take direction well.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage budgets and timelines.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and permits for events and activations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A great network of vendors and industry connections.
  • Adeptness in managing client relationships.
  • A strong work ethic and sense of project ownership.
  • Experience managing project budgets that range and scale up to $3MM.
