About the Role

Administers and manages the day-to-day operations of the Holocaust Survivor Program, overseeing the department budget, ensuring service provision, and maintaining health and safety standards. Supervises a team to provide high-quality services to clients and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Manages program operations according to agency and funder guidelines, reporting activities to leadership.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains departmental projects, policies, procedures, objectives, and quality standards.
  • Selects, orients, and trains department staff, disseminating relevant program information.
  • Develops, recommends, and monitors the program operating budget.
  • Develops and enforces performance standards and evaluates staff performance.
  • Provides oversight and supervision to social work, supervisory, and administrative staff.
  • Assigns cases and other work responsibilities to staff.
  • Develops and maintains client monitoring and record-keeping systems using a client database.
  • Reviews case records for quality assurance.
  • Provides casework/case management services, including assessment, information and referral, entitlement applications, case planning, service arrangement, advocacy, and supportive counseling.
  • Conducts weekly staff meetings and attends managerial meetings and training sessions.
  • Organizes, facilitates, and assists at social, recreational, and group activities for clients.
  • Prepares monthly statistical reports and tracks data for grant funding and other reports.
  • Represents the organization with funding sources, agencies, and at community meetings.
  • Participates in interdepartmental programs and projects, collaborating with other departments for optimal client care and agency goals.
  • Adheres to organization's standards by completing annual mandatory trainings.
  • Supports the organization's mission by striving for excellence and fostering positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Adheres to the organization's policy regarding absenteeism and appearance.

Requirements

  • MSW or related degree; LMSW preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in social services, preferably with older adults.
  • Supervisory experience; management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Basic knowledge of client database systems.
  • General facility with technology.
  • Proven strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Creative decision-making skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Superlative verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent client service and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to use public transportation or other means of transit.

  • $75,000 - $77,800 commensurate with experience
