About the Role
Cardiac Imaging Inc. (CII) is seeking a GE Service Engineer to provide technical repair and service for GE PET/CT systems, ensuring equipment safety and functionality in mobile units and hub locations. This role is crucial for enabling physicians to utilize advanced cardiac imaging technology, improving patient outcomes nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Complete full mobile unit load inspection to ensure secure road safety, including PET-CT and UPS secured to specifications.
- Check electrical systems for fire hazards and safe operation quarterly or bi-annually.
- Perform trouble shooting and field repairs.
- Provide phone support for customers and CII clinical staff regarding technical issues.
- Prepare and perform equipment Preventive Maintenance according to specification and documentation.
- Submit and fill out all required paperwork and service reports within 48 hours.
- Prepare equipment for customer installation, including staging and testing for functionality.
- Perform parts testing at hub locations.
- Lead installation and deinstalls as required.
- Support team members, including service technicians and apprentices, in troubleshooting, training, and guidance.
- Find spare parts or support Inventory specialists in parts acquisition.
- Attend or perform training classes for existing or new equipment service.
- Inspect and report irregularities, cleanliness, and defects of CII assets.
- Maintain tools and calibration requirements.
- Adhere to safety procedures.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent work experience.
- Two or more years of experience as a Service Engineer servicing GE 690 and/or GE 710 PET/CT systems, or completed CII training.
- Basic computer skills, MS Suite.
- Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Ability to travel US wide.
- Ability to read operating manuals and instructions.
- Ability to communicate fluently both verbally and in writing.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
- Knowledge of electronic safety and procedures, low to high voltage.
- Electronics/Mechanical background.
- Advanced Knowledge of PET/CT and or PET.
- Self-driven, motivation to succeed.
- Ability to learn company policies and adhere to them.
