About the Role

Fitch Ratings, a leading credit ratings agency, is seeking an Analyst for its Structured Credit Alternative Products group. This role is pivotal in analyzing new transaction proposals, including various securitization structures and private credit transactions. You will contribute to the global capital markets by providing timely and insightful credit analysis, research, and commentary, fostering informed decision-making among debt capital markets participants.

Responsibilities

Analyze critical credit, legal, and structural elements of transaction proposals.
Act as primary or secondary analyst for transaction ratings in a dynamic sector.
Form analytical views and recommendations, presenting them to rating committees.
Defend credit views in discussions with issuers and investors.
Contribute to the development of rating criteria and frameworks.
Lead and/or support sector trend research reports and projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, or economics.
At least 1 year of experience in the financial industry, preferably related to Structured Credit, Structured Finance, Fund Finance, or Corporate Direct Lending.
Strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail.
High level of personal responsibility, initiative, and self-management.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of programming languages is a plus
Ability to convey complex subjects clearly and concisely
Open-mindedness and ability to understand alternative viewpoints
Demonstrated competency in credit analysis
Proficiency with rating agency methodologies
Experience assessing credit risk
