About the Role
As a Product Analyst on the Team Productivity squad, you will build deep expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to identify and pursue high-value opportunities. This role is for someone who wants to become an expert in collaboration technology within a global professional services firm and has the analytical rigor to translate that expertise into product decisions. You will serve as a trusted, specialized resource, applying advanced knowledge to user behavior, product capability, adoption strategy, and the evolving AI landscape. You will make independent decisions, bring structure to complex problems, and provide leverage to the Product Owner and senior leaders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of SaaS collaboration products, including Teams, Copilot, and SharePoint Online, and how they are used.
- Identify and frame opportunities where collaboration capabilities, including AI, can address user needs or improve operations.
- Track product roadmaps and translate future capabilities into prioritized recommendations.
- Conduct landscape analysis to inform product strategy and prioritization.
- Synthesize usage data, user research, support trends, and stakeholder input into investment recommendations.
- Define and own measurement frameworks connecting product activity to user outcomes and business value.
- Build, maintain, and evolve dashboards and reporting tools for adoption, engagement, and product health.
- Automate recurring reporting and produce executive-ready outputs.
- Design and run research programs, including usage analytics, surveys, and qualitative feedback.
- Produce concise outputs for leadership decision-making, including impact summaries and investment cases.
- Identify and mitigate potential challenges and risks proactively.
- Develop expertise in Microsoft Copilot and related AI platforms to identify high-value user scenarios.
- Partner to translate AI capabilities into practical, user-centered enablement approaches.
- Build automation solutions using Power Automate to reduce manual effort.
- Track adoption patterns and friction points for new AI capabilities.
- Document and share knowledge to build the squad's collective understanding.
- Contribute to the squad's delivery cadence, including backlog grooming and user story development.
- Apply analytical and technical depth to product decisions, helping to evaluate options and prioritize.
- Support structured programs and pilots with rigor in planning, measurement, and communication.
- Serve as a specialist resource for the broader Digital Collaboration portfolio.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with stakeholders across BCG and Microsoft.
- Serve as the primary analytical voice and communicator for your area of focus.
- Modulate communication based on audience, providing appropriate technical depth or business framing.
- Use data, evidence, and reasoned argument to influence decisions and navigate disagreement.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a product analyst, senior business analyst, or program management role.
- Demonstrable track record of growing ownership and analytical depth.
- Advanced, hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, particularly Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Copilot.
- Strong understanding of adoption dynamics, user workflows, and product capability.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain analytical tools in Power BI, including dashboard design, KPI frameworks, and data modeling.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs or workstreams end to end with ownership over outcomes.
- Proven ability to design and run user and product research programs, combining qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile product delivery.
- Hands-on experience with Jira or equivalent backlog management tooling.
- Practical experience building automation solutions using Power Automate or similar low-code platforms.
- Comfort extending into adjacent tooling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to produce executive-level outputs.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as business, information technology, computer science, or digital media, or equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Agents and Copilot Studio.
- Familiarity with M365 telemetry, license analytics, and usage reporting patterns.
- Working knowledge of governance, data security, and secure-by-design principles for AI productivity tools.
- Experience in a professional services, consulting, or similarly complex, matrixed global organization.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and competing stakeholder priorities.
