About the Role
The Production Planning Team at Amazon optimizes capacity across Fulfillment Centers through innovative solutions planning. This role requires expertise to develop network-wide strategies and drive operational excellence, collaborating with multiple business teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short/medium/long-term operational plans to optimize staffing costs.
- Support warehouse staffing/capacity metrics forecasting using statistical modeling to drive collaborative decision-making.
- Responsible for warehouse processing capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze capacity planning data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with global teams across Europe.
- Support Production planning and cost optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or other business/analytical disciplines, or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data.
- Experience with SQL and Excel.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, quickly changing or international environment.
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
- Experience in capacity planning, operations planning, business analysis or equivalent.
- Experience with operations/supply chain.
- Ability to closely work with operation, finance and planning leaders to manage lead-time, capacity, and optimize the impact of labor on supply position throughout the entire supply chain.
