About the Role
Provide quality cleanliness oversight to assigned building(s).
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas within the facility, including floor care, bathroom cleaning, trash and recycling removal, window and wall wiping, and stairway cleaning.
- Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas.
- Perform exterior snow and ice removal, sidewalk maintenance, and landscaping upkeep.
- Assist staff with special events by setting up chairs and tables and ensuring the area is clean and safe.
- Maintain building maintenance tools and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Order cleaning supplies, paper supplies, lightbulbs, and garbage bags, and maintain biweekly inventory if no superintendent is present.
- Assist in moving and storing program supplies, office furniture, office equipment, dorm furniture, and consumer belongings.
- Comply with all SUS Employee Policies, Procedures and Protocols and Cooperate Compliance Policies.
- Be willing to assist during facility emergencies.
- Wear and maintain a clean and presentable SUS maintenance uniform at the start of each shift.
- Complete other tasks assigned by the Director or Superintendent.
- Attend staff meetings, group supervision, and trainings as needed.
- Assist with apartment turnover, including plastering, sanding walls, painting, and transporting residents and property.
- Assist the Superintendent with building maintenance.
Requirements
- At least one year of maintenance & cleaning experience in a large residential or Program setting.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills.
- Driver's Licensed Required.
Skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.
- Experience working within a Supportive Housing setting is beneficial.
