About the Role

As a Security Officer Front Desk Access Coordination in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge procedures, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service to maintain a professional, secure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and building staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Maintain a professional front desk presence by greeting and directing visitors, answering inquiries, and providing access-related information in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor visitor access, verify credentials, issue visitor passes when applicable, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate building personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Observe lobby and entrance activity, report suspicious behavior or security-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access to the commercial property.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Possess a guard card or license preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience preferred.
  • Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
