About the Role
As an Armed Security Officer - Banking Center in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. This role requires a concealed carry weapons permit and law enforcement officer license. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and irregular conditions.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and help to deter unauthorized entry and suspicious activity.
- Maintain required armed officer credentials and carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
