About the Role
As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver Site Assurance in East Elmhurst, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This driving position offers the opportunity to contribute through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of bus facilities, transit areas, building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing individuals to appropriate areas, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with site and Allied Universal procedures.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
