About the Role
As a Security Officer Full Time Front Desk Access Coordination in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service. You will serve as a highly visible, professional presence while supporting a secure environment through clear communication and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate front desk while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
- Monitor building access, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry logs in accordance with site policies.
- Receive and direct visitors, manage incoming calls and deliveries, and communicate relevant information to building personnel and/or management.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures as applicable.
- Maintain awareness of lobby and entry activity, report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access.
Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
