About the Role

As a (Senior) Managing Consultant – BFSI Regulatory & Compliance, you will develop the prioritized growth area together with our Regulatory & Compliance Lead. You combine regulatory expertise with entrepreneurial thinking and pronounced transformation experience, turning complex requirements into clear action options, action options into viable programs, and successful projects into long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Advise boards, department heads, and program managers at banks and insurance companies on regulatory and strategic issues, translating new requirements into robust transformation roadmaps, target operating models, governance structures, and investment decisions.
Lead complex regulatory and compliance transformations from initial assessment through conception, mobilization, and sustainable implementation, taking responsibility for scope, governance, economic viability, quality, and customer benefit, and managing interdisciplinary and international teams.
Develop relevant market trends and regulatory developments (e.g., DORA, EU AI Act, CRR III/Basel IV, MiCAR, AML/KYC, MaRisk/BAIT, or Solvency II) into scalable services, assets, and offerings together with the Regulatory & Compliance Lead, bringing new consulting approaches from idea to successful customer positioning.
Identify new opportunities, develop long-term customer relationships, and position NTT DATA as a strategic partner for Regulatory & Compliance, leading solutioning, proposal, and negotiation processes, developing compelling value propositions, and bearing commercial responsibility for opportunities and projects.
Combine regulatory requirements with technology, data, and automation, developing solutions based on modern GRC platforms, cloud compliance architectures, data governance frameworks, RegTech, RPA, and GenAI-based regulatory intelligence together with technology and delivery units.
Represent NTT DATA as a trusted advisor in the market, develop relevant viewpoints, and position expertise through contributions, studies, events, customer formats, and active participation in the BFSI community.
Lead and develop consulting teams, coach experienced and aspiring colleagues, and establish binding quality and method standards, taking on the role of Executive Advisor, Subject-Matter Expert, or Program Lead in strategic customer projects to ensure sustainable results.

Requirements

Several years of relevant consulting or transformation experience in the banking, financial services, or insurance sector, ideally with corresponding broad customer and management responsibility.
Successfully led several demanding regulatory, risk, or compliance programs (e.g., in DORA and ICT Risk, AML/KYC, Financial Crime, Risk & Controls, Prudential Regulation, Compliance Operating Models, or regulatory data and reporting requirements).
Proven success in developing or winning complex consulting and transformation projects, including experience with value proposition, solutioning, pricing, proposal development, contract negotiation, and building trusting relationships with decision-makers.
Sound understanding of modern GRC, cloud, data, and automation solutions, with the ability to translate business requirements into viable solution and delivery models, consistently evaluating new technologies for regulatory resilience and measurable customer benefit.
Confident management of cross-functional and international teams, combining clear results orientation with inspiring leadership, and applying methods such as Value-Based Consulting, Design Thinking, Agile Delivery, and structured transformation management as appropriate.
Completed university degree (e.g., in business administration, business informatics, law, computer science, or a comparable field) or equivalent qualification.
Excellent executive storytelling and negotiation skills.
High degree of mobility for customer projects in the DACH region.
