About the Role
The Asset Management & Special Projects team manages corporate real estate owned by Scotiabank across Canada, including the day-to-day management of commercial tenants in Bank-owned space. The Velocity Program offers a customized internship or co-op experience focused on development and career growth, with opportunities to learn and experiment within Scotiabank and Tangerine.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day tenant management activities for third-party tenants in Bank-owned space across Canada.
- Produce and update documentation in written form, to a high quality and professional standard.
- Coordinate with internal partners (Facilities Management, Accounting, retail branch network) to support tenant and property needs.
- Communicate with tenants and tracking issues, requests, and follow-ups.
- Undertake special programs, projects, or initiatives to meet Bank Strategic Objectives as assigned by GRECS Leadership.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Real Estate, Business, Finance, or a related program.
- Enthusiasm for learning and interest in working for an international organization that invests in employee future.
- Involvement in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, competitions, and/or hackathons.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal partners and external tenants.
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data set management and financial reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs (PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
