About the Role
The Head of Global HR Analytics and Data Office leads a team responsible for global data, analytics, advanced analytics, reporting, visualization, and AI. This role serves as the primary contact for Global Human Resources data and champions the advancement of analytics capabilities, technologies, human capital insights, and data literacy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation of Global HR’s data, analytics, reporting and visualization capabilities to improve data-driven decision making and accelerate insights at scale.
- Drive applied employee research, data mining, analytical/statistical methodology, behavioral science and the development of predictive models.
- Lead advanced analytics to drive actionable insights and build behavioral science capabilities.
- Partner closely with IT to develop data engineering pipelines and advance technology capabilities (AI, machine learning, cloud-based tools).
- Develop a programmatic approach to increase data literacy and adoption across Global Human Resources.
- Manage the design, development and implementation of data strategies, standards, procedures, governance and security.
- Establish data quality rules, standards and thresholds, and lead data quality issue analysis and remediation.
- Develop teams and create a high performing culture that nurtures talent and embodies company values.
- Manage direct reports and the broader department to achieve organizational goals.
- Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, and encouraging engagement.
- Build a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team.
- Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations and ensures adequate business controls.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary degree in a quantitative /computer science /data & analytics field. Relevant Master’s Degree is desirable.
- A minimum of seven or more years of progressive, relevant and practical experience in people analytics and data management.
- Proven track record of success in analytical reporting and the implementation/management of supporting technology systems.
- Expert understanding of data management structure, big data, business requirements, analytics, reporting delivery – incl Enterprise Data Lake, database management & technology reporting tools (PowerBI) and coding languages.
- Experienced in leading applied employee research and knowledge of behavioral science and industrial/organizational psychology.
- Excellent knowledge of Statistics (SAS, SPSS), Data Mining (MS SQL), Business Intelligence and Office Automation software packages including good knowledge of computer languages.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to work independently and proactively.
- Leadership and communication skills required to manage, prioritize and execute diverse activities and projects concurrently.
- Collaborative leadership skills to drive people development and strong team growth.
- Integrity, high attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy are critical.
- Solid organizational interpersonal and communication skills and be able to direct varied activities within tight time frames.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential in dealing with senior internal and external parties, as well as preparing reports for Executive Management.
