About the Role

Safeguarding Officers will play a vital role in protecting vulnerable residents by ensuring safeguarding concerns are managed effectively, recorded accurately, and progressed in line with statutory requirements, organizational policy, and best practice. This role provides oversight of safeguarding case management, maintains the Safeguarding Register, and supports governance, audit, and reporting processes. You will collaborate with teams and partners to identify, monitor, and act on safeguarding risks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively.
  • Record safeguarding concerns accurately.
  • Progress safeguarding concerns in line with statutory requirements, organizational policy, and best practice.
  • Provide oversight of safeguarding case management.
  • Maintain the organization's Safeguarding Register.
  • Support robust governance, audit, and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with operational teams, partner agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure safeguarding risks are identified, monitored, and acted upon appropriately.

Requirements

  • Experience of safeguarding, vulnerability, housing, social care, or a related environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong case management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain high-quality records.
  • Confidence working with data, reporting systems, and audit processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.

  • Ability to travel to London when required.
  • Ability to travel across regions as required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must reside in England or Wales for the duration of employment.
