About the Role

This student position within the GreenShield Holdings Finance team supports the streamlining of financial reporting, offering opportunities to learn core financial reporting and compliance, and gain a broad understanding of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with accounting team members to maintain day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • Prepare month-end working papers, including various account reconciliations.
  • Support the compilation of monthly Admin Expense management reporting deliverables and key drivers of under/over-performance.
  • File and maintain accounting records and reports.
  • Perform ad hoc off-cycle financial analysis on specific business areas.
  • Assist with the full cycle of payments: customer deposits, customer claims, vendor payments, internal and external commissions.
  • Support other projects related to GS’ broader finance transformation initiative.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader Finance / Accounting Team.

Requirements

  • Working towards a recognized Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in business (finance or accounting specialization preferred), math or technical field from an accredited college or University required.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to process and manipulate large amounts of data.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
