About the Role

Re:Build Optimation is seeking an experienced Journey-Level Millwright to install, align, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment at customer facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful execution of projects within the Rochester area and contributing to Re:Build's mission of revitalizing American manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Install, align, and commission industrial machinery and equipment at customer facilities using layout plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Dismantle, move, reassemble, and reinstall machinery using hoists, dollies, lifts, rollers, and rigging equipment.
Align shafts, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and mechanical systems using precision instruments.
Bolt, weld, rivet, and fasten components to foundations or supporting structures.
Operate lathes, mills, and other shop machining equipment as needed.
Perform rigging and crane work safely and efficiently.
Assist in mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
Follow OSHA and company safety standards; participate in toolbox talks and safety audits.
Identify and report unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
Work as a member of a cohesive team, mentoring less experienced members.
Display a high level of craftsmanship and strong work ethic in all tasks.

Requirements

Completed apprenticeship program, journey card, or a minimum of 10-15 years of consistent hands-on millwright experience at a journey-level scope of work.
Demonstrated skill in precision alignment, rigging, and industrial machinery installation.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Must be physically able to climb, lift heavy objects, work from heights, and enter confined spaces.
Able to work in hot, cold, and outdoor environments in all weather conditions.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime.
Travel primarily within the Rochester area with occasional project-based travel.
