About the Role
This role supports critical claims operational activities in the UK region, focusing on administrative processes, data review, report collation, and project assistance, with a path towards handling claims.
Responsibilities
- Support first notice of loss and new claim setup processes.
- Manage the general claims inbox.
- Input and route financial transactions according to authority levels.
- Triage queries and route calls from external contacts to support Claims teams.
- Produce and maintain spreadsheets for data presentation and analysis.
- Assist with low-level IT issues for Claims Specialists and Managers.
- Complete regulatory and compliance claim reports.
- Assist with audit coordination.
- Support Claims staff with drafting reports and correspondence.
- Participate in key initiatives and ad hoc projects.
- Support claims, underwriting teams, and partners regarding claim trends.
- Liaise with Enterprise Shared Services, monitoring progress and providing guidance.
- Manage a portfolio of claims up to a pre-determined authority level.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to resolve claims promptly and fairly.
Requirements
- Ability to operate under tight deadlines in a pressured environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to review and analyze claims data.
- Capable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good numerical and literacy skills.
- Good PC and systems skills (AXA XL systems, MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work and collaborate within a virtual team environment with supervision.
- Eager to learn and focused on continuously improving administrative skills.
- Keen interest in understanding the insurance industry and a drive to succeed.
- Enthusiastic with the ability to adapt to change and new challenges.
