About the Role
The NBCU Digital Media Sales Local Inventory & Analytics team is seeking a highly analytical and self-motivated Data Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing automated and ad-hoc solutions to help with reporting and analytical needs. You will work cross functionally to support the Inventory Team, Account Managers, Sales, Finance, and more.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets in Excel, utilizing advanced formulas and functions to support data analysis and reporting.
- Maintain and enhance the existing Python codebase to support reporting, automation, and data workflows.
- Manage and maintain Business Intelligence tools, including Tableau, to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting errors and data discrepancies within the Client-facing DOMO Dashboard.
- Automate custom reports for stakeholders using Python to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Develop additional reports and analyses on an ad-hoc basis and support evolving business needs as required.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation and SOPs to support consistent data processes, knowledge sharing, and operational continuity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, data operations, or a related analytical role.
- Highly skilled in Excel, including INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, nested/complex formulas, and data reconciliation techniques.
- Proficiency in Python, with extensive experience using pandas for data cleaning, manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
- Deep working knowledge of Tableau, including Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, calculated fields, and parameters.
- Familiarity with DOMO, including Magic ETL, Beast Mode, Dataflows, Views, calculated fields, and more.
- Familiarity using Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity working within Jira or a similar ticketing/project management platform
- Able to regularly support Eastern Time business hours.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
