About the Role
The Community Banker plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer service, supporting daily banking operations, and building meaningful relationships with customers. This role offers opportunities for continued learning, hands-on experience, and professional development with potential for career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Assisting customers with account inquiries and processing transactions.
- Promoting banking services and understanding customer financial needs to provide personalized solutions.
- Supporting branch operations and being flexible in assignments and scheduling, including Saturdays.
- Adhering strictly to audit controls, maintaining required logs, processing outgoing deposits and third-party remittances, and handling telephone calls.
- Maintaining accountability for the cash drawer and reporting discrepancies.
- Possessing a full understanding of all bank products and promotions.
- Performing account lookups, activations, closures, overdraft privileges, check orders, and change requests.
- Reviewing customer accounts for alerts, messages, card activity, relationships, and history.
- Performing daily tasks including Card@Once check-in/out, night drop, and monetary instrument logs.
Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent math and cash handling abilities
- Prolonged periods of time working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of time standing
- Ability to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift up to 10-20 pounds at times
