About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Product Designer to join our innovative and collaborative team. You will be responsible for enhancing our product's usability and accessibility, ensuring top-notch experiences for our users. Your mission is to shape, influence, and nurture Tangerine's design community of practice.
Responsibilities
- Enhance product usability and accessibility.
- Elicit designs based on business requirements.
- Align creative strategy and client experience across product, design, and development teams.
- Conduct studies on usability, interaction, visual design, content, and information architecture.
- Evolve the Tangerine Design System, championing a mobile-first design approach.
- Plan design activities, set expectations for timelines, and balance creativity with constraints.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of mobile native UI patterns, iOS and Android user expectations, and latest mobile design trends.
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in crafting native mobile applications.
- Experience contributing to the evolution and maturation of design systems.
- Portfolio showcasing wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and conceptual explorations.
- Expertise in mobile user interface best practices.
- Proficiency in Figma and Miro.
- Skilled in creating interactive prototypes and micro-animations.
- Experience conducting usability studies to gather user insights.
- In-depth knowledge of standard UI frameworks and guidelines for iOS and Android.
- Mastery of annotations and handoffs, and meticulous in design QA.
- Top-notch communication skills for smooth collaboration with developers and stakeholders.
- Experience in a financial institution or related field is a bonus.
