About the Role
This position will enhance existing or create new databases to perform calculations, organize and save data, and create reports for various Revenue Operations groups. The role involves helping the organization make sound operational decisions by analyzing budgets, business processes, and performance data. Key responsibilities include managing the Electric Energy Service Companies (ESCO) portfolio, rate verifications, and ensuring compliance with tariffs and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, including variance analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Create, maintain, and enhance databases, spreadsheets, reports, and data reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze business and financial performance, identify trends, risks, cost-saving opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead problem-solving and process improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, gap assessment, and solution implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Manage competing priorities and stakeholder requests while ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.
- Track vendor contracts, invoices, and project expenditures.
- Support special projects and other business initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Social Science, or a related discipline, and 5 years of experience performing analysis (e.g., data analysis, financial analysis, business analysis, or other relevant analytical work); in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of experience performing analysis may be considered.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Access, Excel, Power Point, Word, Tableau and SAP.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal, quantitative and written communication skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and a safe and satisfactory driving history.
- Must demonstrate a sense of teamwork and initiative.
- Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
- Ability to perform functions different from normal operations and work extended hours during storm/outage restoration efforts.
- Willingness to work on premise or in an alternate location as directed by the company during storm/outage restoration efforts.
- Must be a citizen or national of the USA; OR a lawful permanent resident of the United States; OR a citizen, national, or permanent resident of a “Generally Authorized” destination and not also a citizen, national, permanent resident of any country not listed; OR a “Protected Individual” under the Immigration and Naturalization Act.
