About the Role
The Central Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for decontaminating, assembly, and sterilization of instruments, equipment, and supplies for the organization, ensuring sterile technique and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize all instruments, procedure trays, and patient care equipment.
- Operate all processing equipment.
- Inventory and sterilize linen items.
- Maintain sterile technique.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- General knowledge of surgical instruments, supplies, and decontamination and sterilization techniques.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift 17 to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work rotating shift work.
