About the Role
Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information. The Platforms Security & Privacy (PSAP) team ensures Android remains the most secure, robust, and trusted mobile operating system, safeguarding over three billion devices. The Platforms and Devices team researches, designs, and develops new technologies to make user interactions faster and more seamless.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Perform low-level OS and kernel development work, building new functionality in the Trusty OS.
- Maintain full-stack flexibility, working across various parts of the Android system over time to protect users.
- Engage partners and vendors across all projects to ensure what we are building lands with stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with Android application development.
- 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
