About the Role
Pivotal Health is seeking an experienced New York State-licensed Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our Sleep Services team. This role involves working with both pediatric and adult patients, providing high-quality sleep diagnostics in a supportive clinical environment. Responsibilities
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic studies in accordance with AASM standards.
- Review physician orders, patient histories, and testing requirements.
- Prepare, calibrate, and troubleshoot sleep diagnostic equipment.
- Apply electrodes and sensors and verify signal quality.
- Monitor patient safety and study quality throughout testing.
- Perform PAP mask fittings and titration studies as appropriate.
- Collect, score, and analyze sleep study data.
- Identify and document respiratory, cardiac, neurological, and sleep-related events.
- Prepare study findings for physician interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care to pediatric and adult patients.
Requirements
- Current New York State PSG License
- Current RPSGT credential
- Pediatric sleep experience
- Completion of an accredited polysomnography program
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Required immunizations, health clearances, and/or titers
- Strong patient care, technical, and communication skills
- CRT or RRT credential (Preferred)
- Experience with complex pediatric sleep studies (Preferred)
- PAP titration experience (Preferred)
- Sleep study scoring proficiency (Preferred)
- Knowledge of AASM standards and best practices (Preferred)
