About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Manager to partner with teams across DoorDash, ensuring efficient investment and capital allocation decisions while enhancing the experience for merchants and marketplace participants. You will lead financial reporting, forecasting, and planning, guiding financial insights and strategy for operational decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly reporting of financial performance for DoorDash’s Merchant business.
- Forecast key financial metrics based on quantitative analysis of historical data.
- Support quarterly financial planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to identify growth areas and business priorities.
- Deep-dive into complex operational questions and collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Operations, Support, Accounting, Analytics, BI) to uncover optimal data-driven business decisions and investments.
- Identify key opportunities & risks to the business, quantify and evaluate impacts, propose solutions and investment cases, and ensure efficient execution.
- Leverage and apply knowledge of SQL, finance, analytics, and technology to manage financial reporting, forecasting, and quantitative analysis.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience overall, preferably from Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Consulting at a high-growth technology startup or well-established company.
- Advanced Excel and GSheets financial modeling skills.
- Able to build robust financial models used by teams throughout the company.
- Able to size the impacts of opportunities and business cases for pursuing new initiatives.
- Basic SQL proficiency (or willingness to learn).
- Able to manipulate large data sets, uncover hidden insights in data, and meaningfully improve business understanding.
