About the Role
We are seeking a Strategy Director to guide and mentor a team of strategists and analysts, lead the agency’s strategic planning efforts, grow client relationships, and deliver bold, effective work. This senior role involves developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with client business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor a team of strategists and analysts.
- Lead the agency’s strategic planning efforts.
- Grow client relationships and become their trusted advisor.
- Collaboratively lead teams to deliver bold and effective work.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for clients that align with their business goals and objectives.
- Act as a Brand Champion and Architect with expertise across the marketing ecosystem.
- Ensure all work begins with a strong, insight-led foundation that fuels bold, category subverting ideas.
- Lead brand and integrated communications strategies with understanding of paid, owned and earned to effectively meet KPIs.
- Author brilliant briefs and lead inspiring and clear briefings.
- Develop messaging frameworks, content and connections plans across platforms.
- Design and facilitate brainstorming sessions, collaborative workshops, and strategy/tactical planning exercises.
- Provide compelling leadership and presentation skills.
- Lead research, including methodology design and moderation, to uncover insights and segmentation.
- Help clients embrace bold, category-disrupting creative work.
- Own the measurement approach, establishing plans, conducting real-time analysis, optimization, and post-program reporting.
- Connect cultural trends and human insights to identify client opportunities.
- Develop thought leadership and train on behalf of the agency.
- Develop new strategic approaches and tools rooted in AI.
- Identify, pitch, and win new business, and generate new organic business.
- Participate in new business development and creative development.
- Build relationships with senior clients to shape brand, marketing, and cultural strategies.
- Plan and host client workshops.
- Lead the use of measurement frameworks that prove out the value of our work.
Requirements
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Brand and Comms Strategy in a creative, integrated agency environment.
- Background in integrated planning (digital, social, content, audio, experiential, PR).
- Master of cultural trends.
- Strong storyteller with refined presentation and writing skills.
- Analytical and creative thinker with understanding of best practices in multiple channels.
- Proven leader with experience leading strategy teams.
- Highly organized, agile, and proactive.
- AI adopter who believes it enhances product and efficiency.
- Fully fluent in English.
- Lawfully able to work in Canada.
- Enthusiastic for a safe, hybrid work culture.
