About the Role

Okta is building the trusted, neutral infrastructure to enable organizations to safely embrace AI. This role involves leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to accelerate the development of secure, enterprise-grade Privileged Access Management (PAM) products within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

Leverage AI pair-programmers and LLMs to accelerate the development of secure, enterprise-grade Privileged Access Management (PAM) products.
Work with engineering teams to design, develop, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects on a modern tech stack.
Drive evaluation, development, and rollout of microservices.
Operate, support, and upgrade shared services and frameworks, scaling them as usage grows.
Evaluate and scale existing systems to meet specialized requirements and support future business needs.
Lead design and code reviews to ensure systems are scalable, redundant, and multi-tenant.
Ensure high programming standards by writing unit and functional tests.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and fix services and frameworks the team owns.
Evaluate system performance and resolve bottlenecks.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, security, and operations engineers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
5+ years of extensive programming experience in modern programming languages like Go, Java, or C++, especially in backend services. Go is preferred.
Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and optimizing scalable cloud infrastructure with deep hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and AWS container environments.
Solid technical grasp of architecting, implementing, tuning, and debugging large cloud deployments.
A good understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.
Experience with fundamental Cloud building blocks like IaC, Observability, Secrets Management, CI/CD pipelines, secure coding practices, and compliance.
Deep understanding of REST APIs and proven experience building and integrating them.
Experience with AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch / OpenSearch, Kinesis, Kafka, and Docker.
Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
Demonstrably followed best software engineering principles.
Familiarity with Agile software development process.
