About the Role
The Software Engineer I designs and implements complex features and solutions supporting the Tax practice. This role involves developing innovative tax products within an Agile team, requiring collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, maintains, and tests software solutions using web and cloud-based technologies and frameworks.
- Applies modern software engineering principles across the entire software lifecycle.
- Reviews and analyzes business requirements to provide technical feasibility and estimates.
- Ensures code quality and performance, adhering to software engineering standards.
- Escalates critical issues to management and implements strategies for timely resolution.
- Provides technical support for specific applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, with a focus in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Finance, or Accounting, preferred.
- One (1) or more years of experience in a technology field, preferred.
- Experience with developing web applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET, and Web API, preferred.
- Experience with developing integration packages, stored procedures and database schemas utilizing Azure SQL, and NO-SQL DBs, preferred.
- Experience with JavaScript Libraries, including TypeScript and Angular, React, or similar, preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, VS Code.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Azure SQL DB.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and/or Power BI.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Integration Services and/or Azure Logic Apps.
- Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework, and other related web development framework and libraries.
- Experience with HTTP Debug Tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
- Capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details.
- Capable of successfully multi-tasking while working independently or within a group environment.
