About the Role
This role is responsible for performing R&D and Quality Control testing on customer, vendor, and internally manufactured samples. The position requires documenting findings, maintaining lab equipment, and assisting with research projects while protecting proprietary information.
Responsibilities
- Perform tests on incoming customer/vendor samples, including raw materials, finished products, and ancillary materials.
- Conduct research and development projects for raw materials and new products, including making test batches and characterizing properties.
- Perform QC testing on internally manufactured products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Issue technical service reports based on test results, including suggested corrective actions.
- Gain a working knowledge of laboratory equipment operation, calibration, and maintenance.
- Perform quality control testing for incoming raw materials.
- Prepare graphs and support data for monthly technical reports.
- Calibrate lab equipment in accordance with ISO requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager, Technical Team, or Management.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and adhere to all safety practices.
- Follow all applicable ISO procedures and work instructions for Quality System compliance.
Requirements
- Familiarity with general lab equipment and its operation.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance (calibrations, etc.) on lab equipment.
- Ability to keep the lab orderly and clean.
- Ability to protect and never disclose proprietary or intellectual property without express approval.
- Basic knowledge of lab testing.
- Ability to compile and interpret data.
- Capability of communicating technical skills and information to customers/vendors, the Lab Manager, and the Technical Team.
- Good analytical and laboratory skills.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education Level
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent with prior experience in an engineering or sciences field required.
