About the Role
1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed for a 13-year-old non-verbal male student in Syracuse, NY. The role involves assisting after school and during school breaks, engaging in his interests such as trains, dinosaurs, and baseball, and working on communication skills. The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, active, and patient.
Responsibilities
- Assist after school and during school breaks.
- Find and participate in new interesting activities with the student.
- Prepare snacks and/or meals.
- Work on communication skills.
- Be available for additional hours with other individuals receiving services at the agency.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
