Under general supervision, controls the parking of vehicles in University of Toronto parking lots.

Controls entry of vehicles into an assigned parking lot, identifying permit holders or special guests, rejecting those not authorized to park.
Collects money from parking lot users at a predetermined rate, making change as necessary and maintaining a cash float.
Balances cash collected with ticket stubs and delivers cash and receipts to supervisor or Police office at the end of the shift.
Directs and assigns parking lot users to parking spaces.
When required, spreads sand or salt over icy areas or parking lot; removes minor obstacles and debris from parking lot; maintains the tidiness of the kiosk.
Informs the Parking Supervisor, Parking Control Officer or University of Toronto police in cases of illegally parked vehicles or unusual occurrences.
When necessary, calls the University Police in the event of an unusual occurrence or dispute.
Performs other related duties as required.

Experience in dealing with the public and handling cash, making change and balancing.
Good oral English communication skills.
Must be courteous, tactful and use discretion in dealing with the public.
Ability to handle cash.
Physical ability to service parking lots and cope with inclement weather conditions.
Must be neat and tidy in appearance.
A valid G licence is an asset.
