About the Role
This role owns closing the gap in understanding how customers interact with LSEG Analytics. You will lead telemetry strategy across the analytics platform, defining what data is captured, its meaning, how it's surfaced, and ensuring reporting aligns with D&A standards. This is a horizontal, hands-on role with broad exposure to the LSEG estate and its teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and roadmap for analytics product telemetry, from instrumentation to reporting and visualization.
- Collaborate with product teams to define event schemas, identity and entitlement dimensions, and rules for comparable usage.
- Partner with cloud data platform teams to translate product requirements into data capture and retention needs.
- Inform the consumption layer, including dashboards, usage reporting, and visualizations.
- Translate usage data into an account of the customer experience, identifying successes, stalls, and surface choices.
- Run discovery with internal consumers (product, commercial, client service, engineering) and treat them as customers.
- Maintain data quality and consistency, serving as the subject matter expert on usage data.
- Track changes in consumption patterns, especially agentic and AI-assisted usage, ensuring measurement keeps pace.
Requirements
- Product management experience, or equivalent background owning a platform, data, or API product.
- Technical fluency with APIs, event data, and data structures; ability to hold credible conversations with engineers.
- Competence with SQL and ability to read production code.
- A feel for effective data presentation and dashboard design.
- Data-driven approach: define success, instrument for it, and adapt based on evidence.
- Judgment regarding measurement: distinguish between easy-to-collect metrics and actionable ones.
- Working familiarity with AI tooling and agentic consumption.
- Experience in financial data and analytics.
- Comfort operating in a matrixed organization.
