Responsibilities
- Perform harnessing, crimping, soldering while maintaining NASA and J-STD certification.
- Perform pressure testing, leak checks, electrical testing, and flushing/cleanliness checks.
- Use portable instruments to trouble shoot and repair.
- Operate gages, flow meters, mechanical measuring equipment, torque wrenches, etc.
- Read mechanical drawings and work to controlled documentation.
- Perform duties in a shop and laboratory environment.
- Occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, or chemical processes requiring use of protective eyewear and PPE.
- This position requires full physical which includes bloodwork, Pulmonary Function testing, and fit test.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical/electro-mechanical and electronic component/circuits fabrication and repair techniques.
- Knowledge of the characteristics, properties, uses and safe handling of electricity, chemicals, gases and cryogenic fluids.
- General knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and calibration of test equipment.
- This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
