About the Role
The Business Onboarding Analyst supports new business initiatives by ensuring the Operations infrastructure is ready for timely onboarding of new business. This role connects internal departments, clients, and external parties for smooth technical and operational setup of new funds, managed accounts, and products.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and ensure completion of technical and operational set up for new funds and managed accounts.
- Work with PMs, trading desks, legal, and clients to understand trading requirements.
- Engage with external trading counterparties to agree workflows, documentation, and account requirements.
- Complete counterparty questionnaires and distribute launch updates.
- Ensure Fund Data Integrity of security and Fund Reference Data within internal systems.
- Work with other internal departments to answer onboarding queries.
- Assist the business in launching new products and services.
- Ensure due process is conducted on requests and is compliant with internal and external controls and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Operations within an investment management firm, investment bank, or hedge fund.
- Previous client-facing, middle office, or operations experience within financial services preferred.
- Experience onboarding new clients and working with external providers.
- A strong understanding of financial markets and best practices.
- Self-motivated and responsive to a constantly changing environment.
- Strong communication skills, both client-facing and internal.
- Ability to highlight potential problems or delays to management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
