About the Role
Therapy My Way is seeking a compassionate and motivated Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow / Pre-Licensed Psychologist to join our growing private practice in Plainview, New York. This position is an excellent opportunity for a doctoral-level clinician who has completed a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology and is working toward independent licensure as a psychologist in New York State.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults
- Conduct initial clinical assessments and develop treatment plans
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with supervisors and other members of our multidisciplinary clinical team
- Participate in clinical supervision and staff meetings
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and other providers as appropriate
- Maintain ethical and professional standards consistent with practice and licensing requirements
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited doctoral program
- Completion of doctoral internship requirements
- Eligible to accrue supervised postdoctoral experience toward New York State psychologist licensure
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Professional, dependable, and able to work independently while utilizing supervision appropriately
- Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or adults is preferred
- Interest in developing a caseload within a supportive private-practice setting
