About the Role
Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Assesses patients, administers medications and moderate sedation as appropriate, assists with procedures, monitors hemodynamic status, and provides pre- and post-procedure care. Responds effectively to emergencies and maintains patient safety and adherence to department and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Subject to call for STEMI and respond within 30 minutes.
- Successful completion of St. Barnabas Hospital Orientation Program.
- Mental and physical health to meet the demands of the position.
Skills
- One year of Med-Surg experience
- One-year Critical Care experience
- Three years’ experience in Cardiac Catheterization & EP Experience
- One-year Interventional Radiology Experience
- Moderate Sedation Experience
- Experience in Xper system
- BCLS, ACLS, Certification
Experience Level
