About the Role

Martin Brûlé Studio is seeking a motivated and experienced Interior Designer to join their growing firm. The role involves supporting the internal Design Team in efficiently executing high-end renovation and architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Head of Design and Senior Designers to manage projects from inception to completion.
  • Assist in project management of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attend design meetings and installations, preparing minutes and task lists.
  • Create furniture plans, elevations, RCPs, millwork drawings, and custom furniture drawings.
  • Produce construction documents using computer-aided drafting (CAD) and related software.
  • Manage personal timelines and priorities to meet tight deadlines collaboratively.
  • Assist with coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections.
  • Build client presentations.
  • Utilize presentation tools including Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and Keynote.
  • Utilize project management tools like Asana and Excel.
  • Research and source interior products and materials for review.
  • Maintain and organize project folders with all related drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Conduct site visits for supervision and check-ins as needed.
  • Advise clients on space planning, layout, furnishings, equipment use, and color coordination.

Requirements

  • Experience in high-end renovations and architectural projects.
  • Experience working on all phases of development for Interior Architecture and design documents.
  • Experience working for a top interior design firm.
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and creative.
  • High level of knowledge in concept development, design and construction documents, and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of NYC / Paris design resources (furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, vendors, artisans).
  • Extensive knowledge in design history, design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of industry terminology for architectural materials and custom furniture/window treatments.
  • Clear understanding of the ordering and production process.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including needs assessment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
  • Portfolio required.
