About the Role
The Associate will support the development and maintenance of dashboards, reporting tools, and data processes to inform business decisions. This role involves collaborating with team members on reporting needs, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing data collection, analysis, and utilization within a real estate and asset management context.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of dashboards and reports using Power BI, including data modeling, Power Query transformations, and DAX measures.
- Maintain assigned reporting workflows by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timely updates, and supporting troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide support to users of dashboards, reports, and data tools, responding to questions and offering basic guidance.
- Contribute to team-identified improvements in data collection, reporting processes, and internal workflows.
- Support the design and deployment of tools (e.g., PowerApps) to enhance data collection and workflow processes.
- Support the development and maintenance of tools using Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate).
- Develop working knowledge of the division’s assets and the teams who manage them.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 1–2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Power BI/DAX.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to combine and model data from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate, MS Lists) is a plus.
- Experience supporting reporting or analytics functions (internship or professional) preferred.
- A portfolio (e.g., GitHub) demonstrating technical proficiency and clear written communication is preferred.
- Experience/Interest in real estate, asset management, or project management preferred.
- New York City government experience a plus.
- New York City residency required within 180 days of hire.
