About the Role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, and as a member of the operations team, you will perform material receiving, order processing, and product packaging for shipment. This role ensures error-free packaging, efficient loading and unloading of trucks, and verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing inventory. With training, you may operate industrial cutting equipment. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position.

Responsibilities

Unload incoming trucks and move products to proper staging areas using a forklift, pallet jack or crane.
Receive incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase orders, invoices, or other documents to verify accuracy of shipment.
Prepare orders for shipment by retrieving inventory and packaging appropriately for damage-free delivery.
Use of company ERP System as required.
Maintain a neat and clean work area by sweeping floors, disposing of cardboard, banding, or packing materials, and removing debris.
Perform related duties as requested to meet department and/or business objectives.
After training, use equipment to accurately measure materials, color code, catalog, log inventory, and put product away.
With training, may operate industrial cutting equipment to cut materials as requested and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
After training, and as necessary, move delivery trucks within the yard and/or operate a NonCDL F450 truck for delivery, to meet production needs.
After training, implement facility closure tasks at end of identified shift.
Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
Follow all Company safety policies and procedures set forth in the Employee Handbook, Safety Policies, and any local/regional/state/national regulations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or High School Equivalent strongly preferred.
Mathematical ability to sort, check, count, measure, and verify numbers and/or product shipped or received.
Demonstrated computer skills in the use of company ERP System as required.
Ability to operate material handling equipment after training.
Ability to read and write.
Good communication skills.
Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork, perform math calculations and perform computer data entry.
Valid NY State Class B driver’s license and/or CDL endorsement a plus, for back-up driving a plus.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses when performing certain job duties.
Regular and reliable on-site attendance is a requirement of employment.
