About the Role
Speedy Fuels is recruiting an experienced Night Fuel Tanker Driver to join their fuel distribution team. This role involves operating Class 1 articulated fuel tankers, with flexibility to drive rigid tankers and undertake multidrop deliveries as needed. The ideal candidate is professional, safety-conscious, and possesses relevant qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 articulated fuel tankers, with the flexibility to drive rigid tankers when operationally required.
- Complete multidrop fuel deliveries safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Safely load and discharge fuel in accordance with company procedures, terminal instructions, and industry regulations.
- Complete daily vehicle defect checks and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Strictly comply with ADR regulations, drivers' hours, and road transport legislation.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
- Valid ADR qualification covering tanks and packages (Class 3 Flammable Liquids).
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Valid Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) - renewals considered.
- Previous fuel tanker driving experience is essential.
- Previous experience working from fuel terminals and familiarity with terminal loading procedures is desirable.
- Experience with multidrop commercial or retail fuel deliveries is desirable.

- £45,000 per annum (£19.23 per hour), increasing to £48,000 per annum (£20.51 per hour) after 4 months.
- Weekend overtime paid at time and a half (£28.85 – £30.77 per hour)
