About the Role
Amsted Automotive is seeking a CNC operator for their London, Ontario facility. This role involves operating production equipment to meet quality, safety, and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of CNC machining centers, including changeover, part loading, machine operation, unloading, packing, and inspection.
- Perform tasks such as offsets, cycle time reductions, and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Conduct quality checks on own work and others' work as required.
- Record and report all quality defects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete work assignments accurately, with urgency, and safely according to established standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Passion for mechanics and openness to learn.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be willing and able to work any shift as may be required.
- Wear personal protective equipment as prescribed.
- Work may require extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and performing repetitive motion tasks.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
