About the Role
The Machine Operator (Utility Person) operates production equipment according to established procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role supports multiple areas of production, including assembly, coating, winding, inspection, and packaging, with opportunities for cross-training and skill development in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
- Support efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring machines are run properly and production processes remain consistent.
- Be cross-trained to operate multiple machines and assist in various areas throughout the facility.
- Assemble POC and PRC bushings.
- Perform PRC stud coating and related finishing processes.
- Wind cores and cut foils.
- Clean, inspect, and package finished products.
- Assist with additional assembly and production tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and technical drawings.
- Basic measurement skills, including using a standard ruler or tape measure accurately.
- Comfort interpreting machine gauges and equipment displays.
- Comfort working on your feet or seated for extended periods, including repetitive tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to move safely throughout the facility, including walking, climbing stairs, and working from platforms.
- Good vision, hearing, and full use of both hands.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle materials.
- Capability to carry up to 30 lbs. short distances.
