About the Role
The Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management at Sinai Health is seeking a staff anesthesiologist for the position of Deputy Site Head of Anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day activities of the clinical and academic department, be an integral member of leadership teams, and develop departmental strategies. The role involves providing anesthetic care, clinical supervision, teaching, and on-call services.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the clinical and academic department.
- Serve as an integral member of departmental and institutional leadership teams.
- Participate in the Practice Plan Executive Committee.
- Develop departmental strategies and align site activities with these strategies.
- Provide anesthetic care throughout the clinical programs.
- Provide clinical supervision and teaching of students, residents, and fellows.
- Provide on-call services in rotation.
Requirements
- Eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
- Proven leadership and clinical skills.
- Evidence of demonstrated excellence in education or research.
- Medical degree.
- Postgraduate fellowship training.
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in anesthesia (or equivalent).
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
